About the 53 Songs Project

53 Songs began as 53 Soccer Songs, with a song about the sport every week in 2011.

A second year with the beautiful game seemed like overkill, so in 2012, 53 Songs will be moving in a new direction. 53 Drinking Songs will examine the music of another weekend activity with global reach.

We'll still add the occasional soccer song from time to time, but every week in 2012, look for new songs about whiskey, wine, and beer. And to look back at 2011 and the beautiful game, just use the "53 Soccer Songs" bar at the top of each page.
